Yes. Install it and connect, with no account and no signup. New devices start with free connection time, and every short rewarded ad adds 20 minutes. Premium removes the ads if you prefer an uninterrupted connection.
No traffic logs. We never record browsing history, visited domains, DNS queries or the contents of your traffic. The app keeps only a random per-install identifier, your time balance and your subscription status. The Privacy Policy lists everything.
In the United States. Your traffic leaves from a US address, which is what makes US services treat you as a US visitor.
Every packet is sealed with ChaCha20-Poly1305 after a Noise NK handshake, and the server's identity is pinned inside the app, so it cannot be impersonated. DPI-resistant obfuscation hides the tunnel's shape on top of that.
No. Peer-to-peer and BitTorrent traffic is not supported and is filtered at the server, which also keeps the free service fast for everyone. The Terms of Service have the details.
Not yet. Gearoenix VPN is Android-only, on Google Play. There is no iOS version and no release date; if that ever changes, it will be announced on this site.
In the app, open Settings and choose Request data deletion, or follow the steps on the Delete your data page. Deletion is keyed to your device's random identifier, since there is no account.
